Nicholaus Kristof , a columnist, and New York Time's first blogger, argues that, that trump is irrational and cruel for deporting innocent immigrants in his blog, " President Trump, How is This Man a Danger?" Kristof asserts by using irony and repetition throughout his blog to bring cognizance and awareness to deportation
In the beginning of the blog, Kristoff uses irony to amuse but also catch his readers attention to distinguish the importance of deportation in America. "But President Trump, you say that these people are "criminals, drug dealers.." and that we must be protected from them" (Kristoff) this is significant, because Donald Trump is deporting innocent and kind hearted people based off of where they are from and over looking what they've contributed to America. Toward the end of his blog, Kristoff employs repetition to bring seriousness and prominence to the topic of deportation, " Thank you, President Trump, for defending us from such " bad hombres".. Thank you, Mr. President, for shielding us from the "worst of the worst".." (Kristoff). This is predominant, because it makes the readers emphasize the key point of his purpose.
